Baked Potato Chips #Lowfat #HealthyEating
One of the easiest chips to make that save so much on the fat side! I am on a new path the last few months. A very serious path to stay in shape once I get where I want to be. I wrote about my FitBit obsession last week and how excited I was to really track my fitness level. It has been an unbelievable change in how much I exercise and what I eat.
I pulled these potatoes out of the garden over the weekend. I then slice them very thin with a mandolin. If you don't have one just use a knife. I also keep the skin on. I then add them to a bowl of ice water and let them sit for about twenty minutes. From what I have read this pulls the starch out of them and adds crispiness to them.
Now go ahead and spray down the pan with a cooking spray or if you prefer use a little olive oil. Pat dry your potatoes and layer in a baking pan or on top of tin foil. I then added cracked black pepper. Bake in a 350 Degree oven for thirty minutes checking often because some will cook faster. I also turn them half way through. My husband had gone by the end of the football game. So good and not fattening when your looking for a snack.
MMM a nice easy snack when your looking for something to reward yourself after clean eating all week.
