Holiday Decorating with Starbucks #DeliciousPairings #Cbias

Sams Club

The weather outside is frightful, ha it was suppose to be 50 degrees and sunny.  Work to be done outside was now put off so I invited my kids over to help decorate the tree and any holiday tasks I needed done.  I was supplying the Starbucks and Muffins.

This is what I buy most of the time.  Very pricey.  I was thrilled to buy in bulk. I head to the coffee shop a couple times a week and usually get a late or a black coffee.  If I am out and about I would rather have a coffee then a pop (soda for you non Mid-westerners) or energy drink by far.

I was headed to Sam's Club for some Christmas shopping so I added the Starbucks to my list so I could get a large bag.  I just got a new coffee pot system and had been using the pods from Starbucks and realized how expensive it was getting.  The system came with a filter so at $16.98 for this 28oz bag I was feeling a bargain was to be had.

When I got home I posted a picture to my Instagram and asked the kids if they had tried the new Starbucks Holiday Blend flavor.  I also was looking for the Sam's Club Artisan Cinnamon Rolls as well, cinnamon rolls and coffee  pair perfectly together but I could not locate them.  So I  picked up some super yummy Sam's Club Artisan Pumpkin Muffins. There are complimentary notes in the Starbucks coffee which include ginger, nutmeg, pumpkin, cinnamon, cloves and  orange. You can see my fun shopping experience at my Google+ Profile.

I had the coffee bar all set up.  Everyone wanted to try the  Artisan Pumpkin Muffins to go along with the Starbucks Holiday Blend.

The smell of the pumpkin muffins was unbelievable.  I was so excited to share these with the kids and my husband while we chatted while decorating the tree.  I decided to go ahead and pour a cup of coffee for myself and taste the new flavor.

Starbucks

 The smell was intoxicating!

The Starbucks Holiday Blend Coffee was smelling delicious!   The taste is quoted as Sweet and Spicy with hints of comfort and joy.  I took my first sip and closed my eyes trying to see if I could use my taste-buds to discover the rich full bodied blend.   I don't do any sort of cream in my coffee, I like it strong and black.    I then cut off a bit of the muffin and took a bite then another sip.  It is very interesting when pairing your foods with a particular drink the taste goes in another direction.  I could taste sweetness and a touch of spicy.  I dunked the muffin into the coffee and was taken out of my blissfulness by the kids charging in.

The kids brought the Christmas supplies up and each made a plate along with their own cup of coffee.

We set the Tree up in the Fireplace room, this is where I retire every evening and either read or finish up my work.   We all sat down and enjoyed another cup of coffee while we continued organizing the tree trimmings.  Do you have any pairing combinations that you love that you want to share with my readers?
