Donating with #DialCFK for Champions For Kids

If you have been a regular reader of this blog you have heard about the wonderful program that Champions For Kids has running.  This is one of their Simple Service Projects to get friends and family to gather hygiene products.  We set out and bought a whole bunch of dial products to donate to our local food shelf.  Sometimes we forget about the items to help keep us clean and healthy when donating.

Dave, Aerial and I headed to Walmart to pick up our grocery's along with our products we want to donate.  We went out for lunch at Applebees first and got caught up with where my daughter was in school.  She will be graduating from Medical Assistant School and we are quite proud.  You can see my whole shopping experience on my Google+ profile.

 There was a lot to choose from deciding what to pick up was the hardest problem.  I did have a couple coupons that I was able to use as well for the lotion.

We chose The Family Pathways Food Pantry.  We have donated to them before and were welcomed back anytime.

A bit about them;
Individuals and families in need of food and personal items are welcome to visit our Food Shelves. Personal care and household cleaning items are also provided, when available. Check out the location nearest you for more information, directions, and hours of operation. Call for an appointment. If you want to help our Food Shelves grow and better meet the needs of our fast-growing communities, please consider Donating or Volunteering.

Years ago when the kids were little we visited the food shelf about every few months.  The joy when we brought home food and the necessities besides food brought tears to my eyes.  Want to learn more about getting involved with Champions for Kids SIMPLE Service projects?
