Barilla wants u 2 share a Hug.. #BarillaWPD

My life the last month has been quite sporadic I started writing why and stopped, umm that is another full post. I have my hubby and two grown children at home very off and on. I have to have meals ready for every one when they stop home.. Dinner is always in the crock, oven or fridge. Pasta is big in my fam and in the honor of World Pasta Day thank you to Barilla and there awesome crusade to get families together at the table did you know..

88% of parents are reliant upon multi-tasking each day and more than half (58%) say their life is more hectic now, than a year ago.

While families are making time for dinner, Two-in-five meal-preparers agree it is difficult to find time to prepare dinner in their household. They don?t want to miss enjoying a home cooked meal with their family as they worry the alternative will offer poor nutritional content (74%) and they will miss out on family time at the table (65%).

Leading contributors to a hectic lifestyle, making meal-planning and preparation a challenge:

 5) Kids? homework

Pasta provides the perfect meal solution for time-limited households: Pasta is recognized by parents and non-parents as a tasty (88%) and easy (87%) meal option and one that can be prepared using on-hand ingredients from a pantry (82%). Other benefits of pasta that help alleviate chaotic schedules include that it is versatile (52%), a quick go-to meal (51%) and allows for multitasking while it?s cooking (44%).

Aerial, Brandon and Dave were all going to be home at different times tonight so I decided to take a few recipes out of the #BarillaWPD cookbook I received.  I decided on creating a meal ahead of time so I could focus on my family.

Dinner and a love story, I fell in love with this book!  I found a few recipes that I decided to incorporate into one.

Actually these Porcupine Meatballs I have been making for year except I make them huge and add bacon so I thought this would be nummy to add into the Barilla sauce.

The thing I love about this recipe is you can add or subtract to it.  It is ground beef, rice, green pepper etc..  The recipe is here but you could easily add and subtract!

Oh yea baby, now from the recipe I had sauce brewing in the background..  I did that then added more Barilla past sauce because my husband is a sauce...

My husband likes a ridiculous amount of sauce.  Well it can be pretty ugly to look at his plate.  So I added in the Barilla sauce.  But we grabbed another recipe from the book that was spicy shrimp.

I made up the spices..from the book, luckily I had everything.

 The scents were amazing.

I rolled the meatballs and let them simmer in the sauce for about 20-30 minutes.

I then sauteed the shrimp..

I used my timer which came in the box from Barilla for my post..   Along with the Modern Family  cook book

Did you know?

Increasingly hectic lives make at-home meal preparation more challenging than ever BUT it?s still important:
