My SNICKERS® Brand NFL Minis Dessert creation

Football is in the air my friends! I love this time of year. This summer has been pretty rough on me. We moved on the farm last year, well almost a year ago. So this was our first Spring and Summer. I had lots to do and it took a tole on this old body. We are in full gear for Football Season! Go VIKINGS!! I usually make appetizers and some sort of dessert for the games. Hubby usually has his dessert then falls asleep for a bit. If we are tailgating we bring lots of coolers and a couple small grills and have a great time with friends. Our Vikings have had a couple rough years lately. But in our house we always are quite positive!!

Snickers Minis

We found the SNICKERS® Brand NFL Minis NFL Chocolate display in the meat section.  Right where we were looking  for all of our grilling needs for the weekend.  We picked up a bag for the dessert I would be making while we watched the game with a few friends.  My husband and I are dieting and eating right along with exercising but during a Football game we usually indulge.  These minis look totally cute.  This area was the only place to find the NFL Team Logo Minis at Walmart. You can see my whole shopping experience at my Google+ Profile too.

We shopped and shopped it felt like.  I just wanted to get home and be outside, the weather was beautiful!  Having bagged candy in the house is a given with grown kids coming in and out everyday.  I like having candy available so they don't start creating a mess in my kitchen!

Football Recipe
One pie my husband loves is frozen yogurt pie.  Since my old neighbors were coming over this would be perfect!  I would add the SNICKERS® Brand NFL Minis to the middle of the pie and as a topping.  I am brilliant.  I had picked up the necessary ingredient's and was ready to do some 'baking' LOL!

I added the Snickers NFL Logo Minis into the food processor and started chopping them up.

The SNICKERS® Brand NFL Minis smell from chopping them up was an awesome chocolate smell.  Then I added the whip cream and three yogurts into a large bowl and mixed them together.  This is just so simple, I love it.

Now for the fun part.  I added half the mixture to the graham cracker crust then added the chopped up SNICKERS® Brand NFL Minis in the middle.

I then added the rest of the pie filling on top of the SNICKERS® Brand NFL Minis.

Topped it off with more chopped up SNICKERS® Brand NFL Minis, this now will go into the freezer for a few hours to freeze.  Did you know that the SNICKERS® Brand NFL Minis are sold exclusively at Walmart.  I love this!

We sat outside and the pie started to melt very fast!  I was like frozen pie should not sit in the sun honey ;-) This pie was the perfect mixture of the subtle sweetness of the yogurt and the sweet SNICKERS® Brand NFL Minis candy pieces.

  • 3 five ounce containers of yogurt.  We used Strawberry.
  • 1 Eight Ounce Container Low Fat Whip Cream
  • 1 Graham Cracker Crust
  • 1 and a half cups crushed SNICKERS® Brand NFL Minis.

  • Mix the Yogurt and whip cream together
  • Place half of the mixture into a Graham Cracker Crust
  • Add half of the crushed SNICKERS® Brand NFL Minis on top of mixture
  • Add the rest of the mixture over the SNICKERS® Brand NFL Minis

  • Freeze for around 4 hours.
  • Cut and Enjoy!!
