Back To School With Del Monte #SmartSnack #CBias

I have it seems been in back to school mode every fall for ever.  With a 27, 23 and 21 year old, school seems to be always in session.  One done with college and three more in school.  Having something simple and prepared for my kids is quite the given. A #SmartSnack is essential.   Aerial is going to school to be a Medical Assistant and is graduating in October.  She stops over every day she does not work after school.  She is just a skinny little thing and has such a tiny appetite.  I like having Del Monte Fruit Cups available for her as well as using Del Monte in a recipe so it is all ready to go.  I decided to make a couple snacks for Aerial since I knew she would be stopping by a few times this week.  She loves my Frozen Yogurt Pie with Mandarin Oranges.  I need to head to Walmart anyway to go shopping so off I go.

Walmart Del Monte

The back to school shoppers were in full get up and shop mode!  It was exciting really, I was under zero stress and loving it!  The Del Monte brand was really picked through, I am guessing the Roll Back prices has something to do with it!  The Diced Peaches and Diced Pears are usually what I would by for myself, today I was buying for Aerial and healthy snack options.

I made a couple frozen yogurt pies with some simple ingredients.  I also used Vanilla Yogurt, spaced out showing this in the picture.  It is so simple.

This is good with a cold glass of skim milk!

It is a joy to have the kids pop in and find comfort chillin with mom and asking me for recipes.  Another simple recipe that is always in the refrigerator as a simple side dish for a healthy lunch.

This salad reminds me of visiting my grandmother, she always had this salad along with split pea soup LOL.  You may have younger children and looking for tips on Back To School simple healthy ideas, you should follow Del Monte on Twitter.  Also over at Facebook.
