Wine Bottle Border #Gardening #Repurpose

I save my wine bottles for designing in the garden and making wine.  This area has been bugging me, our side entrance that we use has some stairs that need painting, which will be done this weekend.. But it basically had a little grass.  Then you step up to a wrap around front porch.   I had a huge pot here and decided to take these lillies that I have everywhere and give them a new home.

Start with wine bottles. :-)

I told you it looked bad so I decided to do a little digging yesterday afternoon.  I am going to add wood chips under the stairs too.  I see a random plastic cup under there, nice.

I dug each bottle in just a bit then added the dirt around it and in-between them.  Then I added my plants and a tomatoe plant, then the wood chips.  I added some tea lights that look so beautiful at night!

Love re-using!!

I threw these hostas in when we moved in last September.  We were out the other day and finally laid down the plastic and finished it off.  There is Cally my cat chillin with us by the plastic.

The driveway is horseshoe with this hosta garden in the middle, looks really beautiful as you drive in.  Okay then, today is going to be the upper 70's and sunny, another great day to get outside.  Hope you all are enjoying your summer!

  6. Beautiful! Just watch out for the hostas. They will take over your whole block if they aren't thinned regularly. True story.
