Maid Of Fairbourne review

About The Maid Of Fairbourne Hill

To escape a scheme to marry her off to a dishonorable man, Margaret Macy flees London disguised as a housemaid. If she can remain unwed until her next birthday, she will receive an inheritance, and with it, sweet independence. But she never planned on actually working as a servant. And certainly not in the home of Nathaniel and Lewis Upchurch--both former suitors.

Aprils Lifestyle Show Review

Oh man I am loving these period books. Margaret I fall in love with this character, she is so tender but has a quick tongue while you listen to her think aloud. All the characters I loved listening to, the men I want to read more about, they all fascinated me. The upper crust living and the lower crust is woven into a dynamic story, this author once again had me unable to put the book down.

This book has me thinking about life in the 1800's living in England, I closed my eyes at times dreaming.  Margaret is ready to get her inheritance at the age of twenty five and with that comes the step dad ready to get his hands on that money, thus she flees.  You will love this book if you love reading period pieces!
