Champions for Kids #AbbottCFK #CBias Nutrition Pack a Snack

Happy New year to you and your family. I wrote a post last week about partnering with Champions for Kids on the mission to leave no child hungry. Along with Abbott Nutrition to help get the word out about Pack a Snack and what they are doing through the simple service projects.

Featured Project of the Month

Abbott Nutrition
Pack A Snack

INSTRUCTIONS: Gather your friends, family, and coworkers to provide nutritious snacks for children in need. Items like Pediasure®, Pediasure SideKicks®, and ZonePerfect® bars would be great to share! Give the Abbott Nutrition snack packs to an organization in your community that serves children (like a school, religious organization, or nonprofit). Click here to send us your great Report and Photos!

My husband and I headed out to Walmart for our weekly shopping trip and picked up some Pedialyte® brand Sidekicks and ZonePerfect® Bars along with some other items I thought I would add in a box for our local food bank. I am so fortunate to be able to shop for special food items for my family. I am already a user of an Abbott Nutrition product. I am 45 and like to watch what I put into my body.

My husband and I always feel so blessed that we can shop for what ever we need. On a day such as today, I am feeling under the weather, yesterday afternoon I was drained with zero energy. I am lucky enough to go into my freezer and pull out a chicken to make homemade chicken noodle soup. There are a lot of children who are not so fortunate.

We headed out of Walmart with our Pack a Snacks and our groceries.

We were excited to be donating to our local Food Shelf in the Isanti/Cambridge area they also have a thrift shop that I am donating a bunch of clothing and household items I no longer need.

I started getting my items together..

Champions for Kids works to mobilize MILLIONS of people by providing training and resources to improve the lives of children in communities across America and beyond. Our goal is to mobilize 20 Million people by 2020.

We ended up with a couple bags for our delivery.  We felt really good about the items we had purchased along with our decision to start volunteering in February of 2012.  I look forward to sharing this new venture with you.  You can see my whole shopping experience over at my Google Plus Profile
