Aprils Lifestyle Show ReviewIt starts off in the French Quarter in 1866 in New Orleans, Louisiana, as soon as I read that I was excited. You see I have never been there and have always been enticed by any stories about beautiful characters in the South. Claire Laurent is your main character and from how Tamera Alexander pens her, she is quite beautiful.
Claire is a painter, well she works for her father in a gallery but he is not such a good guy and has Claire painting in ways she would rather not, intrigued? Add in a few shady characters and a scene which has her fleeing from her homeland practically without nothing, will make you continue to turn the pages.
This story is set at Nashville's Historic Belmont Mansion, this is a manor built by Adelicia Acklen. She is the older character who will be woven into Claires life and future. A Matriarch of source. I absolutely loved the book, oh yes there is a few handsome men thrown in but that is as far as I am going. You will love the book as much as I did!
One grand prize winner will receive:
- A Brand New Kindle Fire (shipped as soon as it releases)
- A copy of A Lasting Impression and 3 other special books Tamera wants you to have (for Kindle)
with an author chat and giving away Southern Food Baskets (Loveless
