Sweet and Hot Refrigerator Curry Pickles

How to make sweet and hot refrigerator curry pickles recipe
    • Pickling cucumbers
    • Onions
    • Vinegar
    • Pickling Salt
    • Sugar
    • Water
    • Curry
    • Dill
    • Garlic
    • Mustard Seed
    • Jalapeno Peppers

    Quart or Pint containers
    • Gather fresh pickling cucumbers from the garden or farmers market.
    • Wash and cut into half inch or smaller circular pieces
    • Mix 1 cup White Sugar
    • 3 cups Distilled White Vinegar
    • 1/3 cup Canning Salt (On stove top and let cool)
    • Cut onion into circular pieces
    • Place a head of dill in bottom of sterilized Jar
    • Add fresh or a powdered garlic. I use fresh one teaspoon chopped
    • Add One Teaspoon Mustard Seed
    • Add One Tablespoon Curry powder into a Quart size jar, this can be more or less depending on your taste.
    • Add Jalapenos for your taste buds.
    • Place cut cucumbers into jars
    • Fill with Brine to the top
    • Seal and let sit on counter top for one day
    • Put into refrigerator, will last for a few months.

  3. Last week I visited one of our local farmer's markets, Catoosa's Market on the River, and purchases some sweet & spicy homemade pickles. (I'm not sure of the ingredients in these, though.) Anyway, I can't do spicy but I bought them for my husband. I bring them home and he says, "I don't like sweet pickles." I give him a look. He decides to taste them and tells me we need to go back and get him more. :)

  8. Shoot this is my old format of commenting which does not let me reply.. Yes, for sure a hot water bath would make them great for the pantry. My boys eat these up so fast we have a fridge dedicated to pickles LOL.
